Mechanical QC Engineer

What you will do

• Prepare quality documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans, and review construction documents for mechanical works.
• Monitor design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, handover, and implementation of method statements and inspection plans.
• Manage mechanical inspections and testing, including QC inspectors, NDT, hydro testing, pneumatic testing, and calibrated instruments.
• Review and witness welder qualifications, WPS/PQR qualifications, client inspections, and third-party testing activities.
• Maintain inspection and test records, evaluate test data, and support final certification documentation.
• Identify non-conformances, coordinate corrective actions and punch-list closeout, and assist with audits of subcontractors and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
• At least 13 years of experience in construction-phase projects; ADNOC experience is an advantage.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.
• ASNT Level II certification in RT, UT, MT, and PT.
• CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI certification, with hands-on experience in welding, NDT, and painting/coating.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, ADNOC specifications, SHELL DEP, site fabrication, construction, and erection activities.
