Lead Data Scientist (IoT)

Location: Oak Brook, Illinois, with a hybrid work arrangement

Salary: $102,600–$193,425 per year, plus benefits, 401(k) contribution, and eligibility for a short-term incentive plan

What you will do

• Partner with business leaders to understand strategies, initiatives, and success metrics.
• Identify and apply analytical techniques to address business objectives.
• Design, develop, and deploy predictive and prescriptive analytics, visualizations, and decision intelligence solutions.
• Gather, cleanse, integrate, transform, and model data, including feature engineering and selection.
• Develop standards and processes that ensure the quality and consistency of analytics solutions.
• Direct associate and senior data scientists, contractors, and consultants on business projects.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Expertise in statistics and machine learning, including regression, classification, time series analysis, clustering, simulation, and dimensionality reduction.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, with experience handling large-scale data and distributed computing.
• Experience with data science tools such as Databricks and cloud analytics platforms such as Azure.
• Ability to lead projects and cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts as actionable business insights.

Nice to have

• Doctorate in a quantitative field.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Experience with IoT, software-defined customer experiences, or private-equity-backed companies.
