Project Manager (Industrial Automation)

Location: Burlington, Ontario, Canada. The role represents hirify.global at local client sites and requires 15–30% travel throughout the United States and Canada.

Salary: CAD 95,000–125,000 per year, plus benefits, bonuses, and additional extra-hours payments.

What you will do

• Own industrial automation projects from opportunity identification and proposal development through design, commissioning, and handover.
• Build client relationships, understand manufacturing needs, identify follow-on opportunities, and communicate project status and deliverables.
• Define project scope, budgets, timelines, schedules, resources, and risk-mitigation plans.
• Develop and maintain PLC/PAC programs in Studio 5000 Logix Designer for process-control applications.
• Configure HMI and SCADA visualizations using FactoryTalk View SE and other platforms.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, create project documentation, and commission solutions at client sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer, chemical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering, computer science, engineering technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience delivering industrial automation and process-control projects, including hands-on PlantPAx DCS and Studio 5000 Logix Designer experience.
• Strong knowledge of PID loop tuning, regulatory control strategies, batch sequencing, and industrial control system architectures.
• Experience leading complex projects across planning, scope management, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and commissioning.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, proposal development, estimation, client communication, and cross-functional team management skills.
• Valid driver’s license, full-time access to a personal vehicle, and willingness to travel 15–30% across the United States and Canada.
