Payment Industry Compliance Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based at Darling Park Tower, Sydney, Australia

What you will do

• Embed payment industry compliance frameworks across product domains and agile delivery environments.
• Review payment scheme mandates, bulletins, and regulatory changes, assess their business impact, and support implementation.
• Manage compliance frameworks, obligations registers, reporting, audits, attestations, and monitoring activities.
• Work with Product Domains, Enterprise Technology Services, Client Growth, and Group Risk & Compliance.
• Build relationships with AP+, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, UPI, and AusPayNet while driving continuous improvement and risk awareness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of compliance or regulatory experience within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of payment schemes, industry bodies, and compliance obligations.
• Experience in agile product or technology delivery environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience with New Payments Platform (NPP) and BPAY scheme compliance under Australian Payments Plus (AP+).
• Knowledge of payment industry processes, systems, and emerging regulatory trends.
