Mainframe Administrator (Mainframe)

Location: Budapest, Debrecen, Pécs, or Szeged, Hungary; remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulation

What you will do

• Provide 2nd- and 3rd-level support and maintenance for a Mainframe-based application.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions that improve reliability and availability.
• Manage incidents and change requests while maintaining system performance and stability.
• Perform regular system checks and preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with development and maintenance teams on long-term solutions and improvements.

Requirements

• Senior experience in Mainframe environments, application maintenance, and operational support.
• Strong ticket-handling skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• German proficiency is required for daily communication and documentation.
• Work must be performed from Hungary when working remotely.

Nice to have

• Strong experience in 2nd- and 3rd-level operational support.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
