IRAD Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Centennial, Colorado, USA. US citizenship required.

Salary: USD 130,000–180,000 per year, depending on qualifications; year-end bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage and oversee IRAD execution, turning technical roadmaps, architectures, and concepts into efficient development plans.
• Lead multiple internally defined technical programs across concept, development, and delivery.
• Collaborate with the Technical Director, Portfolio Chief Engineer, Engineering Fellows, and cross-functional space electronics teams.
• Execute projects to cost and schedule while maintaining statements of work and compliance with federal funding requirements.
• Coordinate radiation testing with the Radiation Manager and support capital investments aligned with IRAD strategy.
• Provide quarterly reports on budgets, execution metrics, Technology Readiness Levels, risks, milestones, and overall IRAD status.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the aerospace industry with advanced space products.
• 10+ years of experience in a small-to-mid-sized business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical programs from concept to delivery.
• Deep knowledge of IRAD, foundational technology development, multidisciplinary systems engineering, and internal relationship management.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• US citizenship required. Ability to work independently, manage concurrent IRAD streams, communicate with technical and executive audiences, and meet demanding deadlines.

Nice to have

• PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, Word, and Excel.
