TL;DR

Location: On-site at the U.S. Department of Energy Idaho Operations Office, 1955 Fremont Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho; United States citizenship required.

What you will do

  • Develop, edit, and review technical reports, manuals, procedures, and other documentation.
  • Prepare clear and concise regulatory and compliance materials for Federal Energy and Nuclear Sector clients.
  • Translate complex technical information into accessible written content.
  • Apply relevant editorial standards and style guides, including GPO and Chicago Manual of Style.
  • Support professional administrative, analytical, and operational program activities.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of technical writing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field, plus 3 years of relevant experience; equivalent paths include an associate degree plus 5 years or 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing tools.
  • Federal Energy and Nuclear Sector experience is required or strongly relevant to the engagement.
  • U.S. citizenship is required; H-1B and TN visa sponsorship is not available.
