Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Location: Remote-first; most roles are remote in-country, some are remote within a region, and occasional travel may be required for onboarding and team gatherings.

What you will do

• Lead the technical design and delivery of services supporting customer acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, billing, metering, and revenue operations.
• Define resilient, high-throughput architectures with strong guarantees for correctness, latency, cost, scalability, and operability.
• Build account lifecycle flows covering activation, expansion, plan and SKU changes, suspension, dunning, and clean offboarding.
• Develop integrations and reconciliation pipelines connecting account data with CRM, support, analytics, BI, and other revenue systems.
• Design usage APIs, cost reporting, and billable-action metrics that provide customers with accurate and timely spend visibility.
• Improve reliability through monitoring, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, operational readiness, code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Significant experience designing and delivering production-grade backend systems, preferably in cloud environments.
• Strong proficiency in a systems or backend language, with Go preferred, and experience navigating large codebases and making technical decisions.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems, including concurrency, reliability, scaling, consistency, and failure handling.
• Practical knowledge of data pipelines and storage systems such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, Kinesis, and S3-like storage.
• Experience integrating and reconciling third-party SaaS platforms, including idempotency, drift detection, and recovery workflows.
• Production operations experience with observability, incident response, performance tuning, on-call readiness, and continuous delivery.

Nice to have

• Cloud backend experience and familiarity with billing, CRM, support, analytics, or revenue operations platforms.
