Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations, CEO Office (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead the strategy for Airwallex’s expansion into new APAC markets, including market sizing, prioritization, and success models.
• Design market-entry models covering licensing paths, entity structures, commercial models, and local operating requirements.
• Work with Product and Engineering to translate regulatory and licensing requirements into product scope and roadmap sequencing.
• Present recommendations to executive leadership on market prioritization, launch readiness, and investment decisions.
• Own launch governance, including go/no-go decisions, cross-functional sign-off, risk assessment, and mitigation plans.
• Build AI-assisted tools, templates, dashboards, and operating rhythms to automate research, reporting, risk tracking, and dependency management.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in top-tier strategy consulting, financial services law, or strategy and expansion roles in fintech or payments.
• Experience with market-entry or licensing-driven projects and complex multi-stakeholder programs owned end to end.
• Knowledge of regulatory and licensing topics in payments, e-money, banking, or card issuing.
• Strong operating discipline, stakeholder management, executive communication, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools for research, analysis, documentation, or workflow automation.
• High ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and willingness to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience driving APAC market launches or license applications for a fintech, payments provider, or financial institution.
• Background combining consulting with in-house operations, or legal and regulatory work with commercial or product-adjacent experience.
• Experience working in a CEO Office, strategy and operations team, or similar central function.
• Experience building lightweight AI tooling for launch automation and governance.
