Engineer - Industrial (Medical Devices)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia; onsite production role

What you will do

• Plan equipment layouts for plant offices and production facilities and establish industrial engineering standards.
• Analyze production methods and recommend changes to reduce costs and cycle times while improving yield, productivity, quality, and consistency.
• Study operational sequences and workflows to optimize the use of production facilities and personnel.
• Provide engineering support and prepare reports on production methods, equipment layouts, and equipment and material utilization.
• Interpret technical specifications, parts drawings, and engineering data to develop production techniques and estimate project time and costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Science field.
• At least three years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of industrial engineering concepts including takt time, cycle time, lead time, work instructions, and FMEA.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts and processes.
• Exposure to project management and process improvement projects.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong analytical, communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
