Senior AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Must be based in New York City, NY. Regular travel to partner engineering sites is expected.

Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 USD annually

hirify.global is an early-stage AI company building systems to accelerate hardware engineering by integrating AI agents with industrial design tools.

What you will do

• Design and build core architecture integrating AI agents with CAD, CAE, and PLM tools.
• Own end-to-end engineering execution, including design decisions, production delivery, and observability.
• Ship production AI workflows into live customer programs for defense and medical device companies.
• Develop evaluation and training loops, including reinforcement learning grounded in real physics.
• Collaborate directly with partner engineers to identify system failures and convert learnings into platform capabilities.
• Scale the platform and mentor the engineering team.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience shipping production software.
• Proven track record deploying LLM agent workflows that interact with real tools.
• Strong Python and backend or ML systems engineering skills.
• Hands-on experience with observability, evaluation frameworks, and regression testing.
• Must be comfortable working in-person in New York City.
• Must have existing work authorization in the US (visa sponsorship is not available).

Nice to have

• Experience with CAD, CAE, EDA, or PLM tools.
• Background in frontier AI, robotics, autonomous systems, or industrial software.
• Prior experience with RL or fine-tuning in production.
