What you will do

• Oversee daily maintenance and repair of the vehicle fleet to maintain safety, compliance, and availability.
• Plan and monitor preventative maintenance, servicing, MOTs, inspections, and defect rectification.
• Supervise technicians and external maintenance providers while coordinating work with operations, drivers, and suppliers.
• Control maintenance costs, raise work orders, and authorise repairs where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and audit-ready documentation.
• Identify recurring faults and improvement opportunities while supporting health and safety compliance.

Requirements

• Proven experience supervising a vehicle maintenance unit.
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, defect management, and statutory requirements.
• Ability to plan and coordinate maintenance activities to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Leadership skills for supporting technicians and managing external contractors.
• Strong organisational, communication, record-keeping, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
• A safety-first approach focused on compliance, quality, and risk reduction.
