Oracle Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate security controls across OCI, Oracle Cloud Applications, and hybrid Oracle environments.
• Define security architecture and harden cloud workloads using cloud-native security frameworks and CIS benchmarks.
• Manage OCI identity, access controls, IAM policies, and identity federation.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching, compliance, and security incident response programs.
• Integrate cloud workloads with SIEM platforms and translate cross-functional requirements into production-ready solutions.
• Contribute through code and design reviews, documentation, communication, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of cloud security experience, including strong hands-on experience with OCI.
• Deep experience with OCI Identity, IAM policies, identity federation, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe.
• Knowledge of cloud-native security frameworks, CIS benchmarks, vulnerability management, and patching tooling.
• Working knowledge of PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 compliance frameworks.
• Strong scripting skills with Python and Bash, Terraform experience, and excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Security Professional certification.
• CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent security certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud security architectures, SOAR platforms, automated incident response, or zero-trust architecture.
