Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work

Salary: €60,000–€100,000 base salary per year, plus performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Design and automate deployment of Azure cloud infrastructure, including networking, storage, compute, policies, monitoring, security, identity, and functions.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment solutions using Terraform, PowerShell/Bash, Kubernetes, Helm, and Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with product developers, architects, engineering managers, tech leads, and product owners to embed software in secure, high-performance cloud infrastructure.
• Implement disaster recovery strategies, operational manuals, and maintenance handover instructions.
• Improve infrastructure performance while controlling cloud costs and maintaining resilience and compliance.
• Lead DevOps engineers by providing technical guidance and supporting roadmap and SDLC delivery.

Requirements

• Strong experience administering Azure services.
• Strong PowerShell and Bash scripting skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization.
• Strong Terraform skills for infrastructure provisioning.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Experience managing teams of DevOps engineers.

Nice to have

• Programming experience in an object-oriented language, preferably Java or Go.
• Knowledge of security scans, authorization protocols, Cloudflare, Okta, and identity and access management.
• Understanding of data fundamentals and GitLab/GitHub DevOps practices.
