Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Location: Remote from Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines; New Zealand working hours

Salary: NZD 3,000–5,000 per month

What you will do

• Design and deliver modern data platforms using Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Fivetran, Coalesce, dbt, and Power BI.
• Lead projects end-to-end, from architecture through client handover.
• Establish data governance practices that make platforms trustworthy and scalable.
• Support clients through the adoption of new data workflows and technologies.
• Build internal standards and frameworks for consistent delivery.
• Raise team capability through hands-on delivery, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or modern data platform delivery.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, with hands-on experience in Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Fivetran, Coalesce, or dbt.
• Understanding of medallion architecture and dimensional modelling.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Coalesce Catalog, data governance, and metadata management.
• Experience building data pipelines and data products for AI and ML use cases, including clean and well-structured model-ready data.
• Ability to own projects, deliver results, and communicate directly with clients.

Nice to have

• Previous consulting experience.
• Experience using AI development tools such as Claude or Snowflake Cortex.
