Clinical Product Lead (AI Healthcare)

What you will do

• Lead clinical input across two product squads, shaping features from initial concept through release.
• Define and validate clinical pathways, thresholds, rules, wording, risks, and safety considerations.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, customer success, commercial teams, and leadership.
• Lead clinical discovery through clinician interviews, site visits, workflow observation, and evidence synthesis.
• Present clinical evidence and product direction to NHS and independent-sector customers, partners, and commercial stakeholders.
• Define clinically correct AI outputs, edge cases, failure modes, explainability requirements, and performance evaluation criteria.

Requirements

• Post-CCT in General Practice and at least six years of experience working as a doctor in the NHS.
• Strong knowledge of NHS structures, care settings, and frontline healthcare delivery in the UK.
• Three to five years of experience in a digital health or healthtech business.
• Experience with NHS system integrations and EHR workflows, including EMIS and SystmOne.
• Experience leading clinical discovery with clients and partners, synthesising evidence, and presenting findings.
• Confident customer-facing communication, cross-functional collaboration, and familiarity with discovery, sprint cycles, and roadmapping.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting pitches, bids, tenders, partnerships, or other commercial activity as a clinical voice.
• Experience evaluating or validating clinical AI or machine learning tools.
• Exposure to ISO 13485, MHRA Class II SaMD, DCB0129/DCB0160, and DTAC.
• Published clinical research in early diagnosis, screening, or AI in healthcare.
• Experience in an early-stage or scaling company.
