Senior Data Governance Lead

Location: Fully remote within LATAM, with listed locations including Lima, Medellín, Mexico City, Panama City, São Paulo, Brasília, and Santiago

Salary: $5,500–$6,500 USD monthly

What you will do

• Design and implement the enterprise data governance framework across OneLake and Microsoft Fabric workspace layers.
• Define cataloging standards for Bronze, Silver, and Gold assets, including Lakehouse tables, Warehouse objects, and Semantic Model entities.
• Establish end-to-end lineage from ERP, CTRM, and SAP source systems through transformation layers to reporting data products.
• Develop data quality rules and validation frameworks integrated with Fabric pipeline execution.
• Define naming conventions, data classification standards, and workspace-level access control policies.
• Lead master data management, stewardship documentation, process guides, and training for client data owners and analysts.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data architecture, including production governance framework implementations.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or Microsoft Fabric governance capabilities; Microsoft Purview is advantageous.
• Strong background in data lineage, metadata management, and enterprise-scale data quality frameworks.
• Familiarity with financial or commodity trading data and multi-source, cross-domain environments.
• Experience defining stewardship processes and operationalizing governance policies with business owners.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, data, or business field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Hands-on Microsoft Purview experience with Fabric/Azure cataloging, classification, and lineage scanning.
• DAMA CDMP or equivalent data governance certification.
• Experience in financial services, commodity trading, or global supply chain data environments.
• Master data management experience across ERP and CTRM systems, including SAP MDG or similar.
