Loss Prevention & Operations Analyst

Location: Hybrid in Canada, with Ottawa and Toronto office locations

Salary: CA$58,000–CA$73,500 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Conduct customer reviews, audits, analysis, and investigations using video and business data.
• Identify patterns, outliers, anomalies, loss-prevention opportunities, risks, compliance issues, safety concerns, and operational inefficiencies.
• Translate findings into clear, actionable insights that help customers understand their business and realize value from hirify.global.
• Gather customer context from Sales and Customer Success representatives and communicate relevant information to internal stakeholders.
• Document findings thoroughly and deliver results to customers when required.
• Own customer problems from identification through resolution while managing priorities, timelines, risks, and dependencies.

Requirements

• Deep understanding and experience in retail loss prevention or asset protection, including POS and inventory data.
• Understanding of retail and restaurant operations, ideally through customer service, loss prevention, or a similar role.
• Ability to detect patterns in data and numbers, with an organized, documentation-focused, and process-driven approach.
• Excellent written, reading, and spoken English; ability to work within established timelines.
• Understanding of SaaS technology and willingness to become an expert in the hirify.global product.
• Must be a Canadian citizen or eligible to work in Canada; a criminal records check is required upon hire.

Nice to have

• French or Spanish communication skills.
• Python experience for data analysis with Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, or Scikit-learn.
• Experience with Sheets or Excel, including Apps Script or macros.
