Accounting Manager

Location: USA - Philadelphia, PA

Salary: $98,500–$172,700 USD per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead assigned month-end close and financial reporting activities in a 3-day close cadence.
• Own accounting areas, review balance sheet reconciliations, and resolve variances, risks, and accounting issues.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables, financial analyses, management reports, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain accounting procedures, process documentation, and control documentation to support standardization and audit readiness.
• Partner with FP&A, Corporate Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and support decision-making.
• Manage, coach, and develop accounting staff while leading process improvement, automation, transformation, and audit support initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 8–10 years of progressive accounting or audit experience, including 5–7 years of hands-on general ledger experience in an RTR environment.
• At least 3 years of people management experience, including coaching, development, and performance evaluation.
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, controlled close and audit environments, and shared services, multinational, or global corporate operations.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical and problem-solving skills, and sound accounting judgment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet accelerated deadlines, maintain accurate deliverables, and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Nice to have

• CPA, public accounting, or external audit experience.
• Experience with IFRS 15 / ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, NetSuite, SAP, BlackLine, or similar ERP and financial close tools.
• Experience in publishing, information services, software, subscription-based businesses, outsourcing, finance transformation, or accelerated close cycles.
