Senior Data Engineer - FP&A (Azure, Fabric, Power BI): Building Cognite’s Enterprise Data Warehouse and business data semantic layer with an accent on scalable data architecture, production-grade pipelines, and AI-enabled reporting. Focus on integrating business systems, designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and establishing governance, security, and compliance for data-driven decisions.

What you will do
- Design and implement a scalable Enterprise Data Warehouse for ’s business data.
- Build the semantic layer and select and implement an enterprise data warehouse AI solution.
- Develop integrations, extractions, ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and analysis using Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Data Fusion, SQL, Python or Java, and REST APIs.
- Clean, transform, and aggregate source data for Power BI reporting and AI agents.
- Establish data quality, security, privacy, and compliance standards, including GDPR and CCPA requirements.
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Marketing, HR, Legal, Engineering, and other stakeholders to support data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in customer-facing, data-intensive roles.
- Production-grade data pipeline development with Python, SQL, and REST APIs.
- Hands-on Azure experience, including subscription management and Key Vault administration.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse architecture, Notebooks, PySpark, Spark SQL, DAG workflows, PowerShell, and Power BI semantic models.
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, CI/CD, deployment environments, and infrastructure or access management.
Nice to have
- Experience with GCP.
- Business experience in finance, sales, marketing, supply chain, or a similar setting, or an MBA.
- Familiarity with Data Fusion, including its Python SDK, Flows/Dune, and GraphQL.
