Autonomy Application Architect

Location: Full-time onsite work at the Dallas office; listed location: Irving, Texas, United States. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Up to 10% travel is required.

Salary: $128,470–$208,770 per year.

What you will do

• Design and implement vehicle-level autonomous machine systems from requirements through production.
• Evaluate state-of-the-art autonomy technologies and oversee solution selection and delivery.
• Lead autonomy engineers and coordinate software, hardware, platform, and subsystem teams.
• Estimate project time and cost, analyze risks and benefits, and plan phased delivery from simulation through proof of concept and production release.
• Collaborate with global engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver products within a scalable technology portfolio.
• Triage and resolve system-level issues discovered during development, validation, or production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering or computer science program.
• Production product experience covering design, implementation, customer rollout, and support.
• Ability to decompose complex customer requirements into achievable technical requirements.
• Knowledge and experience with autonomous systems, preferably hirify.global Command systems for hauling, dozing, or similar applications.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, including explaining system designs, tradeoffs, project goals, and success criteria to stakeholders.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global technology products or mining, construction, and agricultural machines.
• Experience with product lifecycles and multi-generational technology products.
• Data analysis and issue investigation using custom scripts and tools.
• Knowledge of functional safety, SOTIF, simulation tools, and SiL/HiL testing.
• Familiarity with C++, Python, and Linux development.
