Cyber Security Engineer (IAM)

What you will do

• Monitor security alerts and events, validate suspicious activity, identify false positives, and escalate confirmed or high-risk threats.
• Support incident triage, investigation, response coordination, evidence gathering, documentation, and remediation follow-up.
• Manage cybersecurity service requests related to access, policies, logging, and other security operations needs.
• Support SIEM integration, log-source onboarding, data-flow validation, and monitoring coverage across infrastructure, cloud, applications, and security tools.
• Track vulnerability remediation, exceptions, open risks, and progress across technical teams.
• Prepare security awareness materials, phishing campaign support, metrics, dashboards, trend reports, and threat-awareness updates.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT support, security operations, or related technical roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity operations, threat monitoring, incident triage, phishing, malware, identity security, logging, and vulnerability remediation.
• Exposure to security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, or SIEM platforms.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
• Upstream oil and gas experience is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Security+, Network+, SC-900, or another entry-level cybersecurity certification.
• Experience with ticketing systems, reporting tools, and operational dashboards.
