Backend Developer (iGaming)

Location: On-site in Malta; relocation support is provided for moving to Malta.

What you will do

• Design high-performing Java-based services within a complex system landscape.
• Conceptualize, design, and implement modern solutions based on Spring Boot.
• Contribute to the new technology stack while maintaining existing legacy systems.
• Support software projects from initial draft through production.
• Document software architectures and transfer technical knowledge.
• Coach junior team members and participate in code and design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree and at least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong development skills in Java 18–25 with Spring Boot or .NET.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure in a cloud-first environment.
• Strong SQL and database knowledge.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes or Docker, Git, Maven, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, and Linux.
• Good English communication skills are required.
