Generative AI Specialist

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Define organization-wide standards, design patterns, and reference architectures for LLM-based applications.
• Design prompts, instruction templates, retrieval strategies, and agentic systems with tool use, planning, memory, and multi-step reasoning.
• Lead retrieval-augmented generation pipelines covering chunking, indexing, and reranking.
• Develop evaluation frameworks for prompt quality, agent reliability, and end-to-end task success.
• Build internal tooling and libraries, conduct technical design reviews, and document reusable patterns and anti-patterns.
• Establish safety guardrails, lead red-teaming exercises, mentor engineers and applied scientists, and optimize latency, cost, and quality trade-offs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
• Six or more years of software engineering experience, including significant experience with LLM-based applications.
• Experience shipping LLM-powered products to production.
• Deep familiarity with modern LLM APIs, agent frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Experience designing evaluation pipelines for non-deterministic systems, with strong Python skills and familiarity with modern application frameworks.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; new H-1B visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Public writing, conference talks, or open-source contributions related to LLM application development.
• Experience with multi-agent architectures, complex tool-use systems, and fine-tuning workflows.
• Experience integrating LLMs into enterprise systems with strict compliance requirements.
• Exposure to customer support, coding assistant, or analytics agent products.
