Senior Full-Stack Java Engineer (f/m/x) - German-speaking

Location: Germany, fully remote

Provides business and technology advisory, enterprise solutions, managed services, product development, and software development through a global specialist organization.

What you will do

• Design programming specifications and support the re-engineering, modernization, and migration of enterprise applications.
• Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable Java and Spring Boot solutions, including microservices and REST APIs.
• Own technical architecture and contribute to the technological direction of the solution.
• Perform component and integration testing, develop automated test scenarios, and improve test automation.
• Further develop CI/CD and DevOps practices, support release and test management, and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Subsystem Owners; conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Java Developer in Java-based development projects.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Experience with software architecture, distributed systems, object-oriented data modelling, relational databases, and ideally PostgreSQL.
• Professional experience in banking, financial services, securities, or another regulated financial environment.
• Experience with modernization, re-engineering, migration, private cloud, security, compliance, governance, CI/CD, DevOps, and automated and manual testing.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken, and the ability to work remotely from Germany.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Large Language Models and their application in software development.
• Experience with Clean Code, design patterns, code reviews, secure coding, and knowledge sharing.
