Data Scientist (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Evaluate and apply Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning algorithms.
• Use large datasets for entity resolution and extraction in support of work products.
• Build predictive, optimization, financial, and statistical models to evaluate different courses of action.
• Gather data for analysis and model development, and prototype models using R or Python.
• Create and track model accuracy and performance metrics.
• Create, enhance, and maintain technical documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• TS/SCI+ clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Statistics, or Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• Industry experience in predictive modeling, data science, and analysis.
• Expertise in at least one of machine learning, operations research, or data science research.
• Fluency in a high-level modeling language, working knowledge of SQL, and experience with Big Data technologies.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, influencing, and partnership skills.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or another modern programming language.
• Ability to translate informal business requirements into problem definitions, models, and constraints.
• Ability to explain rigorous mathematical concepts to non-experts.
• Experience designing and supporting large-scale distributed systems in production.
