Software Engineer (Java/React)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid work with a minimum of 3 days per week in the assigned office

What you will do

• Design and implement full-stack features for the hirify.global Automate platform using Java, React, and TypeScript.
• Develop and optimize scalable backend services for workflow automation across distributed systems.
• Build responsive interfaces for creating, configuring, and monitoring automated workflows.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, infrastructure specialists, and engineers to define and deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural decisions, engineering best practices, and mentoring junior engineers.
• Join the on-call rotation and respond to production issues when on call.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with full-stack development expertise.
• Strong proficiency in Java and React/TypeScript, including object-oriented design, REST APIs, and modern web development patterns.
• Experience with database design, caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and scalable backend systems.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Fluent English proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work from the assigned Warsaw office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with workflow automation, business process management, or integration platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects, mentoring junior engineers, enterprise integrations, or API design.
• Open-source contributions or demonstrated software craftsmanship.
