TL;DR
Senior VMware Engineer (VMware/Kubernetes): Designing, automating, and supporting large-scale VMware Cloud Foundation environments and private and hybrid cloud platforms with an accent on VCF operations, Kubernetes platform engineering, and infrastructure as code. Focus on integrating NSX networking, vSAN storage, hybrid cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps workflows while improving platform reliability.
Location: Hybrid role based in Sofia, Bulgaria; valid working visa for the EU required

What you will do
- Deploy, configure, operate, and support full-stack VMware Cloud Foundation environments, including management and workload domains.
- Assess vSphere, vSAN, and NSX environments and contribute to migration, modernization, and private cloud transformation initiatives.
- Automate provisioning and lifecycle management with Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes platforms, including VMware Kubernetes Service, and support modern application workloads.
- Configure and troubleshoot NSX networking, load balancing, vSAN, Cloud Native Storage, and observability integrations.
- Support VMware hybrid cloud deployments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, while enabling CI/CD and GitOps practices.
Requirements
- Several years of hands-on Kubernetes experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience with VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2 and exposure to or training in VCF 9.
- Solid knowledge of vSphere, vSAN, NSX, SDDC Manager, VMware Kubernetes Service, and VMware AVI Load Balancer.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, hybrid cloud solutions, and container platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and with project teams.
- Fluent or professional English and a valid EU working visa are required.
Nice to have
- Customer-facing experience in professional services, consulting, or enterprise environments.
- VMware VCAP-VKS, VMware Cloud Foundation Architect, CKA, CKAD, or CKS certification.
