Analytics Engineer (AI)

Location: Bengaluru, India; hybrid work with three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design and build production dbt models on Databricks as trusted sources of business data.
• Provide accurate, governed data for external reporting and partner stakeholders.
• Own data quality practices, including testing, CI/CD, documentation, and reusable team patterns.
• Build and evolve Databricks dashboards and semantic metrics for business self-service.
• Partner with Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and analytics stakeholders to turn ambiguous business problems into durable data products.
• Use AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code in daily development and design models and documentation for both analysts and LLM consumers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering or equivalent, with end-to-end ownership of production models.
• Expert SQL and deep dbt experience, including architecture, incremental models, tests, macros, and CI/CD.
• Strong experience delivering Databricks BI or an equivalent semantic layer.
• Daily practical use of AI coding tools with rigorous output validation and AI-compatible data design.
• Ability to execute in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Owner mentality and a proactive approach to fixing issues and improving team standards.
