TL;DR
Middle/Senior Java Engineer (Networking) (Java/Spring): Building scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices for next-generation cybersecurity products with an accent on reliability, performance, and service-oriented architecture. Focus on integrating internal and external platforms, resolving production issues, and designing secure, maintainable systems in a distributed engineering environment.
Location: Ukraine; work format: remote or office

delivers software engineering services and is partnering with a Silicon Valley technology leader on next-generation cybersecurity products.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices integrated with internal and external platforms.
- Own backend components and improve their reliability, maintainability, performance, and functionality.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, architects, and stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code; participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
- Investigate and resolve production issues while supporting Git, Jira, and CI/CD workflows.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Expertise in REST API design, development, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and ORM frameworks such as JPA and Hibernate.
- Experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving, quality-focus, and communication skills in English.
- Must be located in Ukraine.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience supporting networking-vendor solutions, including SD-WAN vManage backend services or APIs.
- Understanding of DevSecOps and CI/CD security automation.
