Pipefitter Journeyman

Location: Great Falls, Montana, United States; onsite construction, manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environments

What you will do

• Configure blueprints and plan piping system layouts for assigned construction projects.
• Cut, bend, weld, thread, and solder carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping materials.
• Install piping and tubing segments using welding and other equipment.
• Install manual and electric safety valves.
• Verify that steam, water, chemicals, and other liquids are turned off before working on piping systems.
• Remove debris and hazardous materials from pipes as needed.

Requirements

• At least three years of pipefitting experience or relevant pipefitter apprenticeship experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with vocational school or trade apprenticeship training.
• Must meet all applicable state license requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, initiative, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, on limited working surfaces, and in environments with heat, cold, noise, odors, and limited visibility.
• Compliance with PPE, safety regulations, and hirify.global environmental health and safety policies is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes for piping systems.
• OSHA 10 certification.
