TL;DR
Principal Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) (Java/Mobile QA): Developing and executing manual and automated tests for web and mobile products with an accent on Appium-based automation, API testing, and end-to-end quality assurance. Focus on designing mobile UI test frameworks, integrating automated testing into CI pipelines, and improving quality metrics across the SDLC.

What you will do
- Develop, enhance, and execute manual and automated tests across integration, system, functional, exploratory, regression, smoke, and sanity levels.
- Create and maintain release test plans, test strategies, and manual and automated test suites.
- Design and maintain mobile automation frameworks using Appium for Android and iOS, including UI tests with XCUI, Espresso, Selenium, and Appium.
- Test APIs using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, and SoapUI, and integrate end-to-end web and mobile testing into continuous integration pipelines.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, bug triage, product demonstrations, QA Guild activities, and client meetings.
- Improve QA processes, produce defect metrics and reporting, mentor peers, review code, and support QA hiring and enablement.
Requirements
- Strong spoken and written English for communication between business and technical teams.
- Strong programming skills in Java and experience with manual and automated testing.
- Experience testing across macOS and Windows, as well as Android and iOS applications.
- Hands-on experience configuring, maintaining, and using Appium servers and creating mobile automation frameworks.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, version control systems, API testing, and cloud-based testing tools such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or LambdaTest.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, exploratory testing, non-functional requirements, defect management, and tools such as Jira.
