What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for APIs and backend services using Java and RestAssured.
- Write and execute automated tests for RESTful APIs, covering HTTP methods and JSON/XML payloads.
- Define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality standards with development teams.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.
- Review test automation code, analyze results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers on resolution.
- Improve QA processes and tools while mentoring junior QA engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
- Strong proficiency in Java and RestAssured for API automation.
- Hands-on experience with TestNG or JUnit, Maven or Gradle, and Git.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON/XML.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Postman, Swagger, and API documentation tools.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
