AI and Agentic Engineer II

Location: Alameda, California, United States

Salary: $152,000–$215,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade agentic applications and multi-agent workflows for IT and business automation.
• Transform prototypes into modular, production-ready services with robust error handling, specifications, and comprehensive test coverage.
• Integrate LLMs, prompts, tools, APIs, enterprise data sources, AWS Bedrock, Databricks Mosaic AI, and MCP servers.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated evaluation harnesses, observability, and artifact versioning for AI workloads.
• Create architecture notes, runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation.
• Lead prompt and code reviews, threat modeling, release-readiness reviews, and collaboration with product, security, and platform teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 5 years of related experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in AI applications, data science, automation, or related technical work, including LLM-enabled applications, agentic workflows, and API integrations.
• Intermediate to advanced Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript skills, including modular design, testing, and packaging.
• Experience with agent frameworks and patterns, REST APIs, OAuth/JWT, secrets management, secure data handling, CI/CD, automated testing, linting, and observability.
• Understanding of security, architecture, responsible AI, data governance, vector stores, and RAG patterns.
• Experience with AWS Cloud, AWS Bedrock, Databricks Mosaic AI, Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent coding agents.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering evaluation frameworks, red-teaming, or LLM observability tooling.
