Warehouse Management System Engineer (SAP EWM)

What you will do

• Design end-to-end SAP WM/EWM architectures covering receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, inventory, kitting, yard processes, RF/mobile execution, and handling units.
• Create solution blueprints, technical and functional specifications, interface diagrams, process flows, data flows, and non-functional requirements.
• Lead solution delivery across design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare, including configuration, development, transport strategy, and deployment planning.
• Design integrations between SAP, ERP, TMS, 3PLs, EDI/IDoc, APIs, automation systems, and labeling or printing solutions.
• Lead complex L3/L4 support, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, automation, standardization, and technical debt reduction.
• Shape the ECC-to-EWM modernization roadmap, develop reusable templates, and coordinate internal teams, vendors, and logistics partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of SAP experience, including at least 5 years focused on warehouse execution with SAP ECC WM and/or SAP EWM.
• Deep knowledge of SAP ECC WM, IM/WM integration, warehouse execution, inventory management, and core WMS processes.
• Experience designing warehouse solutions for manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments and integrating SAP with EDI, IDoc, APIs, and middleware.
• Experience supporting implementations, go-lives, and hypercare, with strong root cause analysis, change management, release management, and ITSM skills.
• Strong architecture documentation, stakeholder communication, analytical, problem-solving, cross-functional leadership, and vendor management skills.

Nice to have

• SAP certification, especially in EWM or related logistics modules.
• SAP S/4HANA logistics and embedded EWM experience, including ECC-to-EWM migration strategies.
• Experience with transportation, yard, labor management, RF/mobile strategies, warehouse automation, 3PL integrations, or non-SAP WMS platforms.
• Experience in consumer packaged goods, food manufacturing, regulated industries, Agile, SAFe, Scrum, or Azure DevOps.
