SAP Inventory to Delivery Lead (SAP)

Location: Princeton, New Jersey, or Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid 70/30 work model with significant in-office collaboration. Only U.S. persons are eligible due to U.S. export control requirements; non-U.S. persons cannot be sponsored for an export control license.

Salary: $142,500–$256,500 annually, with potential discretionary bonus, incentive compensation, or equity award.

What you will do

• Lead SAP Inventory-to-Delivery capabilities spanning logistics execution, inventory movement, outbound delivery, warehouse and 3PL integration, transportation, courier connectivity, and cold-chain distribution.
• Design scalable solutions connecting SAP S/4HANA with external WMS and 3PL systems, transportation providers, middleware, EDI, IDocs, APIs, analytics platforms, and custom applications.
• Guide delivery creation, picking, packing, goods issue, shipment confirmation, advanced shipment notifications, proof of delivery, batch determination, quality release, and inventory reconciliation.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance, Digital, vendors, carriers, and logistics partners across global markets.
• Support global template design, SAP S/4HANA upgrades, integration modernization, validation readiness, cutover activities, and operational stability.
• Evaluate SAP BTP, SAP Business Network for Logistics, SAP Joule, SAP Business AI, automation, analytics, and intelligent exception-management capabilities.

Requirements

• Strong experience with SAP Logistics Execution, SAP SD-LE, SAP Inventory Management, SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC, and large-scale SAP logistics process design.
• Deep knowledge of outbound delivery processing, inventory movements, goods issue, shipment confirmation, proof of delivery, batch management, and Quality Management integration.
• Experience integrating and troubleshooting SAP with WMS, 3PL, transportation, courier, middleware, EDI, IDoc, API, and analytics platforms; familiarity with EDI transactions 856, 940, and 945.
• Experience supporting GxP-regulated logistics and computer systems validation, including requirements, specifications, test scripts, protocol execution, deviations, and validation documentation.
• Ability to lead solution design, manage risks and dependencies, create architecture and integration artifacts, and collaborate with business, technical, vendor, and partner stakeholders.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under U.S. export control laws; non-U.S. persons cannot be sponsored for an export control license.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of experience in SAP logistics execution, inventory management, warehouse or 3PL integration, solution architecture, or logistics transformation.
• Experience in life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, medtech, cold-chain logistics, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation, upgrades, greenfield or brownfield programs, and global template rollouts.
• Exposure to SAP Integration Suite, Boomi, SAP Transportation Management, SAP Extended Warehouse Management, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI, or process mining.
