TL;DR

Focus on investigating failures, identifying root causes, and improving robot performance and deployment processes.

hirify.global is an early-stage deep-tech robotics and AI startup developing dexterous robotic hands and automation solutions for tedious manual labor.

What you will do

  • Build, configure, commission, and debug complete robotic systems across hardware, electrical, mechanical, and software domains.
  • Keep in-house and deployed robots running reliably and improve their performance through contributions to the software stack.
  • Automate diagnostics, recovery, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance workflows.
  • Investigate failures, identify root causes, and implement reliability improvements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, AI, and Development on system reliability and deployment processes.
  • Travel for customer deployments when required.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience building, integrating, or troubleshooting robotic, electromechanical, or automation systems.
  • Proficiency in several relevant areas, including Linux, Python, C++, electrical systems, electronics, PLCs, industrial automation, sensors, actuators, motor drives, robotics, or networking.
  • Comfortable working with electrical schematics, wiring, cabling, mechanical assemblies, and hand tools.
  • Strong systematic troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, ownership, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills and willingness to travel for customer deployments.

Nice to have

  • Experience with industrial robotics, automation, or commissioning.
  • Familiarity with ROS2 and industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, CANopen, or Modbus.
  • Experience with control cabinets, low-voltage electrical systems, or industrial safety.
  • Familiarity with CAD and hands-on robotics or engineering projects.
  • Valid Category B driving license.
