TL;DR
Test and Evaluation Engineer III (DoD hardware, software, and cybersecurity testing): Planning, executing, analyzing, and documenting classified and unclassified test activities for PM PNT products and supported systems with an accent on developmental and operational testing, integration, qualification, and TEMPEST activities. Focus on translating requirements into test strategies, coordinating test resources, interpreting technical data, and briefing leadership on product performance and program decisions.

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, United States; on-site

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 annually

What you will do

  • Develop classified and unclassified test programs, strategies, plans, procedures, and reports from system and engineering requirements.
  • Plan and conduct developmental and operational testing for PM PNT products and supported client systems and platforms.
  • Coordinate stakeholders, personnel, equipment, instrumentation, and data-collection systems for test events.
  • Execute test events, document incidents in Jira, support troubleshooting, and verify system and software readiness.
  • Analyze test data, identify findings and implications, and brief technical and program leadership with recommendations.
  • Support technical reviews, integrated product teams, schedules, risk and budget planning, and solicitation documentation.

Requirements

  • DoD Secret security clearance is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least seven years of experience testing Department of Defense products or systems, or a master’s degree in engineering with at least five years of relevant DoD testing experience.
  • Experience developing and executing test strategies, plans, procedures, and reports for complex hardware and software systems.
  • Ability to analyze technical data, explain test results, and present recommendations to technical and program leadership.
  • Strong coordination, documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-communication skills.
  • Ability to work in classified environments and participate in Secret-level meetings.
