Medical Information Specialist (Nurse)

What you will do

• Respond to unsolicited medical and safety information requests from consumers, healthcare professionals, and other external customers through phone, email, web, written correspondence, fax, and scientific meetings.
• Provide labeled and unlabeled medical and safety information using approved labeling, standard responses, published literature, and other approved data sources.
• Identify, document, and report adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events, and product complaints in accordance with regulations, SOPs, and client working practices.
• Write or support custom medical information responses and log all enquiries accurately and promptly in inquiry handling systems.
• Perform quality checks on adverse events, product quality complaints, correspondence, and logged enquiries.
• Provide rotated after-hours coverage and protect confidential information in line with data privacy requirements.

Requirements

• Nursing degree: RN, BS, BA, or MS.
• English language proficiency is required, along with fluent and grammatically correct writing in the target language for the role.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong verbal reasoning, critical thinking, analytical, planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask accurately within restrictive timeframes, work independently and collaboratively, take responsibility, and apply feedback.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems, with the ability to learn inquiry handling databases.
