Dispatcher (Ferry Operations)

Location: Alameda, California, USA; scheduling may also include the San Francisco location according to operational needs.

Base pay: $29.00 per hour.

Blue & Gold Fleet provides ferry and water excursion services on San Francisco Bay and operates a fleet of 26 vessels.

What you will do

• Coordinate crew scheduling in line with operational needs and labor contracts.
• Arrange vessel schedules to support on-time performance and operational requirements.
• Serve as the communications link between Operations, Ticketing, Engineering, Food and Beverage, Sales, Human Resources, crews, and external agencies.
• Monitor radio traffic, answer incoming calls, and maintain accurate passenger, attendance, and dispatch records.
• Coordinate responses to vessel availability issues, crew problems, accidents, injuries, and other operational matters.
• Notify passengers about schedule changes and assist captains and crews with payroll adjustments and time-off requests.

Requirements

• Computer literacy, keyboard speed of at least 20 WPM, and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple internal departments and external agencies.

• Previous dispatching experience.
