Data Engineering Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate the data warehouse and transformation layer, including schemas, performance, and cost management.
• Build and maintain reliable data ingestion pipelines.
• Design data models supporting usage metering and billing.
• Establish BI and reporting that enables leadership, product, and go-to-market teams to answer business questions independently.
• Set standards for data quality, testing, documentation, and monitoring.
• Partner directly with the CTO and business stakeholders to define instrumentation and turn ambiguous questions into useful data models.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating production data warehouses and transformation layers using Snowflake, dbt, Redshift, or comparable technologies.
• Hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools, underlying data models, and business metric definitions.
• Experience supporting billing systems and understanding the impact of inaccurate billing data.
• Strong production Python experience and advanced SQL skills.
• Ability to take ambiguous problems through to resolution and provide technical direction through influence.
• Product mindset and experience partnering with product and business stakeholders.
