IT Risk & Compliance Manager (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and continuously improve IT risk management and technology control frameworks.
• Embed risk and controls into IT systems, platforms, and change initiatives while aligning with the three lines of defense model.
• Identify, assess, and monitor IT, cyber, system access, data security, and third-party risks.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, track remediation actions, and close audit findings.
• Design, test, and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery frameworks.
• Develop KRIs and deliver data-driven risk reporting, emerging-risk insights, and trend analysis to senior management and clients.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Commerce with a risk management focus, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in IT audit, IT risk management, or IT compliance within the Australian market.
• Experience in financial services, insurance, superannuation, or another highly regulated corporate environment.
• Deep operational knowledge of ASAE 3402, ISO 27001, APRA CPS 230, and audit processes.
• Experience implementing or auditing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies under Australian regulatory guidelines.
• Strong control design, risk assessment, analytical, documentation, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and strategic delivery skills.
