Mid-Level Software Developer (Java/Angular)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid office and remote setup. Candidates must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or EU country for the past seven years due to security-classified projects.

What you will do

• Develop full-stack applications with an Angular frontend and Java backend.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and solve complex problems in an existing codebase.
• Design and implement new features together with domain experts and UX engineers.
• Review and inspect designs and code to ensure solution quality.
• Build software used on tablets, cars, and Android devices by soldiers during exercises.

Requirements

• Technical degree in computer science, electronics, telecommunications, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Good experience with Java or Angular; experience with both technologies is not required from day one.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Problem-solving mindset, clean-code focus, proactive collaboration, and willingness to learn and share knowledge.
• Clean criminal record and seven years of residence in a NATO and/or EU country required for security clearance.

Nice to have

• TypeScript and Gradle experience.
• Willingness to travel for onboarding and occasional business trips.
