Software Develop in Test II

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must be located in Colombia. Medellín or Bogotá.

What you will do

• Partner with product and engineering teams to embed quality throughout design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident reviews.
• Develop and improve automated testing infrastructure across unit, API contract, integration, and end-to-end testing levels.
• Improve CI/CD and developer workflows by strengthening test data setup, test isolation, execution reliability, observability, and failure signals.
• Support functional testing and apply AI-powered test harnesses and agentic testing capabilities across the quality engineering function.
• Track and improve quality KPIs, including coverage, defect trends, test effectiveness, execution health, flakiness, and regression rates.
• Share testing practices, coach colleagues, and lead cross-platform quality initiatives for distributed teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in quality engineering teams within modern SaaS or cloud-native platform organizations.
• Experience scaling automated testing infrastructure and integrating it with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Workflows and Zephyr Scale.
• Knowledge of testing strategies and tools across the test pyramid, including Cypress, Pact, and K6.
• Solid knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript for collaboration across full-stack teams.
• Experience with AWS, observability practices, test signal improvement, and pipeline feedback loops.
• Strong communication, coaching, strategic thinking, and mentoring skills, including experience leading testing initiatives for distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AI-powered testing tools such as Copilot, Devin, and Claude.
