Senior AI Engineer (GenAI)

Location: On-site at the San Francisco, California office, United States

Salary: USD 220,000–280,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Design, build, and deliver GenAI applications that improve client experiences and create measurable business impact.
• Develop and operate AI systems and data pipelines with strong reliability, monitoring, observability, and operational practices.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response frameworks to maintain system health, performance, and uptime.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, business leaders, and other cross-functional specialists to align solutions with enterprise strategy.
• Lead rapid iterations from concept through production while solving complex technical challenges.
• Mentor junior engineers and advance engineering standards, testing, quality, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years as a hands-on senior engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years building products from scratch, operating them in production, and ensuring operational reliability.
• 3+ years building AI-model-based applications with measurable business impact.
• 3+ years developing applications and data pipelines that interface with large datasets.
• 3+ years working with containers, cloud-native applications, public cloud environments, and infrastructure as code.

Nice to have

• Experience with proprietary or open-source LLMs such as Gemini, Claude, or OpenAI, including production deployment.
• Experience evaluating the quality and consistency of LLM-generated output.
• Experience with Python and front-end development.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, distributed-systems problem solving, and communication skills.
• Mentoring experience and a master’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
