QA Manager

Location: Hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with onsite collaboration required at the San Jose, California office. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship and relocation bonus are not available.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 USD annually, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and develop the QA & Automation team through technical direction, mentorship, prioritization, and career development.
• Own QA strategy for functional, integration, regression, negative, performance, and scale testing of the networking platform.
• Design and automate test coverage for new features and releases across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
• Maintain and extend the Python-, Terraform-, and Jenkins-based test framework and CI infrastructure.
• Build performance and scaling test campaigns and develop Terraform-based deployment automation for large customer onboardings.
• Triage failures, drive bugs to resolution, sign off on release quality, and participate in mandatory on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Strong Python programming for test automation and framework development; this is an automation-first role rather than a manual QA position.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and CI systems such as Jenkins.
• Working knowledge of public cloud networking constructs, including VPC/VNet, routing, and peering, in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Networking fundamentals covering BGP, IPsec/VPN, routing, firewall, and NAT behavior.
• Systematic debugging and triage skills, including distinguishing product defects from test or infrastructure issues.
• Experience designing test plans for complex distributed systems, including negative and scale testing.

Nice to have

• Performance and scale testing experience, including traffic generation or load tooling.
• Experience testing networking or security products.
• Experience building or operating test labs or ephemeral cloud test environments.
