Senior Software Quality Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Remote within Canada, EMEA, or the United States

Salary: €65,000–€110,000 in EMEA; $130,000–$170,000 in the United States, plus equity and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks for backend services and user interfaces.
• Define and drive test strategy across services and product features, aligning coverage with product goals.
• Partner with engineering and product to improve testability and incorporate quality considerations into architecture and design.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify usability issues, edge cases, and regressions.
• Work across multiple projects in a rapidly changing startup environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of QA or software testing experience, including 2+ years at a senior or staff level.
• Strong hands-on programming skills in at least one of Go, Python, or JavaScript.
• Daily experience using AI tools for pull-request and design-document reviews, test planning, and test-case automation, with the judgment to verify their output.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD systems and experience integrating automated test suites into pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes environments and distributed systems, plus strong analytical and debugging skills for backend and infrastructure issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ownership, and the ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience testing tenant clusters or tenant isolation environments.
• Experience owning QA at a startup during rapid product growth.
