SDET II (SaaS)

Location: Fully remote within Colombia; cities listed: Bogotá and Medellín.

What you will do

• Represent the SDET function and partner with product teams to embed quality across design, development, deployment, monitoring, and incident reviews.
• Contribute to platform-wide quality strategy by strengthening the test pyramid and expanding coverage beyond UI-based validation.
• Improve CI/CD and developer workflows by increasing E2E test stability, test isolation, test data setup quality, and execution reliability.
• Participate in functional testing from roadmap planning through delivery, including agentic testing and AI test harnesses.
• Track quality and DORA-related KPIs such as coverage, defect trends, test effectiveness, flakiness, regression rates, and execution health.
• Share testing practices, coach developers and SDETs, and support quality alignment across distributed teams.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in quality engineering teams within modern SaaS or cloud-native platform organizations.
• Experience scaling automated testing infrastructure and integrating it with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Workflows.
• Knowledge of testing across the pyramid, including unit, API contract, integration, and E2E testing.
• Experience with Cypress, Pact, K6, Zephyr Scale, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with AWS, observability practices, test signal improvement, and pipeline feedback loops.
• Strong communication, coaching, collaboration, and systems-thinking skills, including experience leading testing initiatives for distributed teams.

• Interest in AI-powered testing tools such as Copilot, Devin, and Claude.
