Senior Software Engineer, Backend Performance Engineer (AI)

Location: Seoul, South Korea. Hybrid working with office attendance generally required Monday through Thursday; Fridays are generally flexible for remote work.

What you will do

• Design and build distributed systems that ingest, process, and index large volumes of multimedia content.
• Architect and implement Kubernetes-based microservices handling millions of daily requests with sub-second latency.
• Develop indexing pipelines that extract audio, video, and metadata features using signal processing and machine learning.
• Integrate agentic AI and LLM capabilities into development workflows, service operations, automated recovery, and internal tooling.
• Build production agents that detect regressions, bisect commits, propose fixes, and generate code for review.
• Optimize throughput, latency, cloud costs, observability, and reliability across multi-region deployments; participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Python, C++, or Go, with solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, observability, and modern software development practices.
• Experience integrating LLMs such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor, plus familiarity with agentic AI architectures, prompt engineering, RAG, and multimodal AI models.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
