Experienced QA Analyst (Victoria 3)

Location: 100% onsite in the Stockholm office, Sweden

What you will do

• Own the functional QA process from test planning and coverage evaluation to merge-list curation and Jira backlog monitoring.
• Represent QA in release sign-offs and milestone decisions, assessing severity against player impact.
• Manage the bug lifecycle, follow critical fixes through resolution, reassess reopened issues, and monitor backlog trends.
• Coordinate the external QA partner through clear, prioritized testing briefs.
• Build and improve quality-tracking tools, including dashboards, burn-downs, and AI-assisted tooling.
• Drive QA innovation through betas, branch testing, bucket systems, automation, and AI, while mentoring junior QA staff and educating the wider project.

Requirements

• 5+ years of games QA experience, including at least one shipped or live title and experience in an Analyst, Senior, or Lead capacity.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating QA professionals.
• Demonstrated ownership of a testing practice, tool, or process.
• Strong risk-based judgment, prioritization, and decision-making under constraints.
• Fluency with Jira or an equivalent tool, plus practical AI tool experience or strong prompting fundamentals.
• Fluent spoken and written English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Paradox grand strategy games, especially Victoria 3, and genuine interest in the genre.
• Scripting or programming skills, including Paradox script or C++.
• Hands-on QA automation experience.
